there should be a limit of res kept in the market for one player, as else it will become the best place for keeping res - no need for planets nor ships anymore :)

There should be a way to see your current posted offers and probably ability to cancel them.

Agreed. Nice enhancements. Admittedly, this is a first cut at a market, and there will be problems. Hopefully not bugs, but things that need to be fixed.

One important feature will be to limit the amount of resources any one player can have on the market. This would mean that a player could not just put up resources at a high price and leave them there safely forever.

An interesting twist on this theme is that if you put up say 10 million troops at the maximum price thinking that this would keep them safe there forever, and you could always buy them down later, this might not work as well as you had hoped if:

1. Someone else put up the same number of troops at the same price, so you can not tell which is yours versus theirs, and you might think you are buying your own stuff and end up buying someone else's stuff instead.

2. You don't have enough credits to buy your own stuff back off the market. Even if they are your own goods, you have to have credits to be able to buy them, and you get the credits from selling your goods AFTER they have been purchased.

Thus, it is possible that a player might feel creative in protecting himself by putting everything up on the market, and then afterward, be unable to get his stuff back.

Finally, there is a default or minimum price at which you can always sell. It is 25 credits per 100,000 units for energy and troops, and 10 credits per 100,000 units for other resources. This is a very low price, and I would not propose that players sell at those prices (selling at minimum takes these resources out of the game forever, as they buyer is the game itself).

I am also thinking about resources left on the market OR ON SHIPS gradually decreasing over time, as well as slowly decreasing prices over time for resources left up for sale for a long time.

I disagree about that. What will the buyer get then, 99.990 troops instead of 100k?

BTW Market is a lot of fun, I made 120 credits profit from 3 trades :D

Iplement the limit on max recs allowed on market say.... 500k
and implement the the ability to cancel your post ttherefore redeeming your recs to your plannet,

And the idea of reducing the cost over time isnt bad, cuz that'll make you either cancel sale/ buy your own recs back or ensures that you dont used the Market as a bank..... but reducing the recs themselves is pretty stupid.......
