I am not against the death penalty. But I dont mind if they give out life sentences. I'd think life in prison would be worse, but that's just me.

pray is right.. prison and jail are totally different.. jail is mostly for petty crimes.. nothin bad enough for a judge to have the option of death... in jail its more of the laid back, do ur time get outa jail thing... in prison it is hard... u dont get to watch tv.. u dont get to do anything except: wake up... go to breakfast... go outside for recreation (if u have been on good behavior) and go back in and later go to bed... they want ppl to work and have recreation out so they stay physically and mentaly fit enough to be in prison... wats the point in sendin someone to prison if they will just end up to unhealthy or to insane to stay alive?... defeats the purpose... and even when u do go out to recreation its not fun... u still have to deal with the other stone-cold killers and psycopaths out there... ppl are stabed and strangled everyday... jail might be a pushover.. but prison isnt.. and i kno all this stuff is true because my biological dad just got outa prison after 12 yrs and told me all about it

Yes but why pay for them to be there? Why pay guards to risk their lives? Why place other bad but recoverable people in harm's way? After they are dead they will cause no more problems nor hurt anyone else ever again. If you want to be fair let them be killed in the same way that they killed their victim. That way it may be some sort of deterant. It may be more gratifying to torture them for the rest of their lives, but they will still have their lives to live

The cost of death penalty in USA is very high, and there have been multiple cases of convicted murderers later proven to be innocent with the real murderer is later found. The person sentenced and killed was not actually guilty. This is rare, but it happens.

bert ur missing the whole point of sentencing... ppl go to trial to find out their punishment... they are punished to learn from their actions... and wat good is killing them gonna do when u dont learn from anything?... ever heard of the phrase "ill make u wish you were dead" ... ya well thats wat should be done... work them so hard so they are barely surviving... and give em those injections that induce abnormally harsh pain... so long as u keep em alive

People sentence to life without parole can learn what that will help? Yes rarely people sentenced to death are wrongfully convicted. But why keep around someone who is 100% guilty either by admission or evidence beyond the wildest reason of doubt? Oh something like, If your on video shooting a convience clerk?
