The SL council will not make decisions. It will give advice and feedback. The final decision will be mine. But, if the council disagrees with me, then I will be very careful. I will try to get support from the SL community. If the community and the SL community both disagree with me, then I will have a tough decision to make. If I strongly feel that I am right and the change is for the best long term for the game, then I still might do what I think is right. But, be sure that I will think long and hard and question my own judgement and have lots of discussions to try to understand why others do not agree with me.

On the other hand, if some decisions appear to be right and the SL council agrees with my views, then this is easy. We go ahead with changes.

Right now, I have a small council of sorts. I listen to Filas (and, of course, argue with him), and Texas Fury and Chaos and Teldin (yes, I listen, I just don't always agree), and MBIK, and a few others. Those who agree with me are less important for me to hear from than those who disagree. Since Neggy is often on the opposition side, what better way to hear about possible problems to any ideas I might have than from Neggy. He would love the role, and I believe I can trust him to never back down or defer to my ideas out of loyalty or personal consideration.

I respect Interiority. That is a good choice.

I also would like to have Teldin and Filas be on this council. However, there is some concern that too many players from SC would be represented if we have Teldin, Filas, Neggy, and any more. Thus, I formally request that my two most useful advisors from SC from the past month be appointed as SC and SCA representatives on the council.

For CiDG, I would like to have either Choas or Bashar be elected. They can ignore me, but this is my preference. I especially value Chaos input to the game, as he is one of the oldest vets.

For AiDG, the elected representative should be one of the players with a safe HW in that clan.

Yeah. Also, keep in mind, some decisions ARE being made now without discussion with the SL community. It might be nice to have the SL council be able to argue with me quickly about change ideas. And, of course, my believe is with or without a council, you will never be able to get Filas not to complain about bad ideas. Filas and I do not always agree, but it is clear that he cares as much about the game and the good of the game as I do. He also has a potential bias due to his clan loyalties and personal position and resources and information (e.g., he has a large collection of green planets hidden, and I have never yet been able to give up the resources long enough to leave a green planet in place without capturing it, so I have no such personal assets).

This is good idea...all the bickering makes me want to roll grenade down center of assembly for giggles... .......But the heart and soul of democracy seems to be finding it's way to the Galaxy...I do not personally support Teldin into this role as I would not support ANY clan leader being elected to this post.... As it only opens the door to criticism and mistrust
