Thank you Iiri :)

personally I'd like to see the planets dropped as the low planet count is beneficial to people who can be active all day every day using the warp to find planets. Lack of planet drops = lack of nearby planets.

Low planet count also means that there are fewer SPs for it to go to and I'm not sure if it picks out player planets then, but those players that aren't as active and are trying to hold onto planets might get hit more and have a harder time finding new planets

Ah, I thought in your first post you wanted to see the number of planets dropped (as in reduced), not that you wanted to see a 'planet drop' of the planets that didn't come in. I wouldn't mind a drop, toss a good 6-10k out, better probing and nearby results for those that are actually playing.

I think a planet drop is needed and a minimum amount of planets in the universe set, when reached a planet drop is initiated.

If there is too be a good foundation for new players to stick around and also thrive in the game they need to be around to find planets more easier, the abundance of planets will also help for them to spread out and build Hws.

The opinions of people on both sides: those that don't want a planet drop and those that do. Its irrelevant as its needed but that is also my personal opinion.

I usually agree with you EL but in this case I do not. The planets will regenerate. I think the low planet count makes the game more challenging. Planet drops are annoying, I hate having to clear nearbys on 40+ systems all at once.

I can see why but take into consideration the following:

Total number of inactive hws
Total number of active hws
Total number of all HWs
Total number of SPC's
Total number of planets in the battle zone
Total number of green planets

I'd imagine those numbers would show that its slim pickings and things need to be done for inactive hws, green planets and spcs

Assuming:
1,000 HWs (Realistic number I believe.)
4,370 planets
500 players controlled non HW planets
200 planets involved in the 2003 new player glitch that we have never found? (Assuming those are counted in the total??? no one knows?)
100 BZ planets (Including systems within the 1000 boundary on all sides, there are a few)
Ignoring Greens as there are likely only 1 or 2 out there.
A BIG assumption that no new players in newb arena or newb arena planets count towards this total.
That leaves
2,570 or 857 systems.
There are more HW systems than SPC.

Now, not to be that guy but of course I am. I am back to playing Skylords quite seriously, like play it a little on my phone at my commission paid job kinda thing. I WANT to be active taking planets all over the place. There are 2 reasons for this.
1. It is fun and who wants to play a game where you are active until you get 50 planets then wait 4 years to HW up then attack every 3 months. No wonder it died.
2. Look at the efficiency of training assaults on SPC even ignoring the fact that you will find juicier targets as you burn through SPC.
Assuming none def res other than I and V are traded at 3.5 to 1 and V and I as 2 to 1.
When you capture an SPC you get 11,250 worth in troops. Mind you it may be a little challenging to unload the S at that price but it gives you a general idea. So essentially if you are taking an 11x or less you are coming out with a positive. Even taking out the 1,400 troops worth of Uranium that you need to get around (Should still be lots of U left over unless you fast everywhere lol) you are still vastly ahead. Then when you find a player planet with 500k T or 500k I you are lightyears ahead.

In short. When I am active I will always play capture and Oblit as much as possible. I strongly dislike the low level of planets in the game. I also understand where Dogg is coming from. Perhaps increase the number of drops.

In shorter short (DO not picture me in short shorts...that is not the intent.) This has been an issue since day one. Why have we not set a number that will auto regenerate faster or drop an extra X number of systems every night to meet the overall number.
It is ridiculous to me that 13 years into a game we are dealing with the most basic of resource issues. Please set a minimum of between 6-10k planets and have them spawn somehow, I do not care how.

Thank you kindly and I love you Iiri.
Sincerely a concerned citizen who wants to have more fun.
