have you ever played an RTS online and in the course of a single game lasting about 10 minutes performed a similar number of clicks? that's hell!

Hmm. I'd like a way to preserve difficulty without requiring so many interactions -- and scripts are of course not optional. Client server interactions is the matter (and 1 per click is correct). Hmm...

Hmm. Active, rounds based attack, requiring allies to resupply your assault ship with more troops or it gets overwhelmed, but you can't leave the page or open another or it's lost - stronger support for fleet actions thusly. Less assaults lost though, but T cost of attacking can be fortified - shields have always been that way... Lemme sleep on it, and tell me what you think. Will cross-post in the morning.
