How do you make greens? :D

Personally I think green planets should now be findable by probes. There's got to be loads of green planets out there not being found by nearby and the only way to find them at the moment is warp. This is very disadvantageous to all involved in the game.

Probing costs a great deal to be done properly these days, uncolonized planets are no different in structure than a player or SP planet, I fail to see why they can not be found by a probe. It's not as though a single probe run would find thousands, you'd have to spend a lot to find some so the process is entirely voluntary and makes a great deal more sense than the system currently in place.

i disagree with the probe but i do agree that there should be another way of finding greens rather than the warp alone.

Making greens is rather simple :D all you need is a HUGE amount of troops and a HUGE amount of spraycans :D

Rag - why do you disagree?

Assuming all the planets are the same size and structure, what is the difference in mass, gravitational pull, size etc... between a green planet and any other type of planet? The way I understand probes is that they work on a radio signal? They send a signal off and it bounces back from a planet? Something along those lines. Why would a green do this any differently from a red or blue?

Well you're right about that, but i think that most players that have coords of greens can sell or keep and retain value of it so that we can sell. Other than my greediness it provides me and some players with the ability to keep from defeat. If it can't be detected by probes than it'll stay invisible so when i'm running low on planets i can just colonize greens without need of I-flight or wasting my troops.

If all else, your idea is great. It is reasonable as well. Lets hear other peoples' opinions.

Lucky that probing isn't radioactive.
