What about Russia, or North Korean, or China? I do believe they are the most controlling governments yet they represent nor encourage any religion. The USA has no control over any religions.

If religion had never existed...

It's pretty damned possible that it'd be anarchy.

If some very smart merciful God popped down and took religion away now...ah, the stuff of dreams...

pray i understand wat ur saying.... from wat i believe religion is a form of hope... people use religion as an escape from their problems in life... if you are givin something to look forward to, such as heaven, then you can get over lifes obstacles easier... so yes there will always be a god-like figure seeing as religion is just a mental prozac in us (in my belief that is )...
