Interesting aricles about sleeping on the internet... half hour of sleep every 4 hours seems the best way... since you rest the most in the beginning of your sleep

I've read about uberman's sleep schedule, it's 6 naps of 20-30 mins per day. The idea is that when you get used to it, you immediatly go to REM sleep phase - when you rest most. So you "override" your normal sleeping cycle by getting rid of other sleeping phases. Here's a quote:

"Over the course of a normal eight hour sleeping period, your body moves through a continuous cycle of five distinct sleep stages. Of these, stage 5 REM sleep has been found to be the part of the cycle that provides the benefits of sleep for your mind."

Some people lived over a year with this schedule. I wouldn't have enough will to force myself into such schedule (I imagine first week would be hell), besides how do you fit this schedule into your everyday life?
