The post was made because it became clear after the fact that the name was insufficient deterant. Had I thought less of players, I'd have made the post earlier. Note that I still use a hiding spot for the planet. I do not trust in rules. And I certainly feel that it should not be necissary for all possibly situations to be covered by any set of rules. Similarly, there is no current rule preventing the creation of an account with a name like "System Administrator". I have assumed that it was a given that such a name would be stupid to use, as I'd obviously simply close and/or ban it if it came to my attention. Does there need to be a rule? I think not -- I still feel this way despite several possible evidences to the contrary, as I still believe in the native intelligence of SkyLords players. Some rules aren't written because there is no need for them to be written. :P.

Oh Iiri, we are very intelligent that is why there is so much rules laywering going on. Smart people try to think around the rule and bend them in circles and sometimes pretzels. Unfortunately, ALL rules need to be written that way they are known and cannot be contested.

"Some rules aren't written because there is no need for them to be written"

Never expected such conclusion from you, Iiridayn. You have no right to call it a rule then. Use your angry words to put to shame a person if you feel it did wrong, but you can't punish someone if he didn't break official rules. No law - no punishment. You'd never become a judge if you can't accept this simple international law.

Actually i kept the coversations with you and your father. This could be the conclusion: "It might not be fair to take those resources from you, but they were not produced noramlly and therefore you can't be allowed to have them". The fact is that there was no discussion then about breaking rules and punishment. All the arguments sounded "it was not produced, was not produced, not produced, produced...".

When i saw prof defending that S and G in the market out of nowhere, the option of revenge at next assaults trade somehow was not kicked out from my mind very easily ;) :D

I guess you've never heard of the "unwritten rules" of society. There are rules of proper behavior, and implicit punishments attached (often shunning is involved). I break many of them, as I am not a very social creature, and so am quite aware of their existance (though not always what they are).

Frankly, I was uncomfortable with the idea of somebody getting something from nothing in this game -- I see that as a form of cheating, regardless of the source. Since the resouces were like fey gold (essentially illusionary), I evaporated them. Did I violate the rule of law? Possibly. Was I in the right? I think so. That you do not is clear ;). However, to show that there are no hard feelings between us, I will, if you desire, refund you the 100-200 hydrogen you prolly used to jump back and forth to steal the resources.

I like a lot your sense of humour :D

But you still miss the point of this story. You don't need to convince me that involving those resources to the game is wrong (actually it's nothing worse than that S/G in the market or interest even). I understand well it is nothing good. But nah, you was not in the right. It was your fault you didn't manage to prevent the ship from pirating. You didn't find a will to announce about that account. You hidden it, but then again, not as good as it had to be hidden. No you put everything it was my fault i managed to find and pirate that ship. If you did't like the consiquences, you could be sad, you could be dissapointed, you could even eliminate the amount from your own resources as you were responsible of them. But you had no right to compensate your own pretermission stealing those resources from my account. No matter how bad the result in your opinion is. You could just come and ask me to bring you back those resources as you were responsible for them and say you'd be very grateful. That would really have been enough

What you did was wrong.

PS. There are really no hard feelings between us. I always considered you as a very nice person.

Probably said everything i have to say on this issue.
