true however there aren't as many active players and u need to somehow "work" a bit to get some credits, with a top 20 award credits system all u need to do is be active.

Actually there's really no great difference whether to get into top15 or top20 :) If we have awards for these places it might be much harder to get there than it is now.

Frankly i have nothing against about making awards huge. Spending money will start getting much less atractive until Professor will be forced to change this nasty system.

My vision about credit system remains a constant amount of credits, where credits spent for upgrades would create the jackpot for the round. Those not spent on upgrades would stay for market operations. I don't mind too much how the jackpot would be shared, whether it's top15, top20 or any other number. The more active players we have, the bigger awards would be since it's harder to get them. Just people shouldn't buy credits for money and it could work very well. The awards wouldn't be constant but depend on how many players with upgrades we have, which means competitive players in the game. Something like "entrance fee" in competition. Goods and its value would vary while money in the game would be constant. Like in reality. People can get upgrades directly for supporting game or many other things, i don't really care, just not credits.

well theres a option to buying credits like i have many times given this game www.hattrick.org as a true example (and the number of player whoo play that game prove it), theres always a alternative.

In hattrick they have constant updates and development not to mention their own servers ( around 12 now i belive), to support a comunity of 800.000 online players so if this game is completely free to play how do they support it?

They have an option to pay a fee (every month; 3 in 3 months; every year) that gives players not any kind of advantgae over others but a bigger online experience with alot of features sms's alerts as well as statistics about almost everything. Now being skylords a text based strategy game this could be done here and with the help of everyone we could find a way to support the game. ;)

RBA had a good idea.... but not very good.
awards will be less, because not all player can buy upgrade.
but if you can buy credits and make some basic awards(for example:awards can't be less 10000 credits. if players spend 10000 for upgrades total awards will be 20000 credits)

I don't like your idea because the value of credits will plummet. If all of the credits that are spent are put back into the system through round winnings and more credits are being received from voting and Paypal, then there will be more and more credits in the system with the same(or now less) demand. Good call Filas.

I'd say credits gained a lot of value - I remember times when 100k gold cost 50 credits :)

The credits don't determine their own value... its not that a higher amount of credits automatically makes prices go up. It's the high demand that makes prices go up... Ofcourse they are linked, if you can buy a lot, you WILL buy a lot. But for starters most players will start upgrading probes etc.

"It's the high demand that makes prices go up... " Won't the demand decrease if there are many more credits?
