Better make that the next round. Announced a bit too late for this one. I have nothing against shield changing but those who are ready to attack this month will attack this month and those who aren't won't despite the change.

In principle I like this particular change, as 5x defence increase due to shields is really too big.
But 2% of max interest is also way too big, as together with buildings it produces huge amount of resources. Lets calculate max gathering of one planet now. Let's say it has above 1mln of every res, so it gives 20k of every res per day (it's around 15 gatheirng points for most of res excluding iron and vital - only 7 points and hydro - around 44 points.), plus it can have 4th level buildings, which means 10 gathering points for most of res, just 0 for troops and -10 for hydro. So such planet will have around 200 gathering points, means it will bring as much res as ten 20x gathering planets.The only difference is that you can't put all gathering on troops or some other special res. But you can try to sell these res on market. With such huge gathering prices of res on market will keep falling down. They will fall down also because of lack of credits.

So I'd propose 2 changes which could be done together with decreasing of shield:
1. lowering max interest to 1%
2. Introducing much bigger and wider awards system - at least top5 players should be able to get enough credits to buy all upgrades, and it would be better if many players would get some awards, as then would be difference let's say between 6th and 16th and 26th places.
I'd suggest something like this:

4. 2400
5. 2000
6. 1700
7. 1500
8. 1300
9. 1200
10. 1100
11. 1000
12. 900
13. 800
14. 700
15. 600
16. 500
17. 400
18. 300
19. 200

The amount of credits given to top20 players are just enough to cover expenses of 20 players to buy all upgrades, means 20 players will be to buy upgrades without using cash.

I think increasing to awards should be done only for individuals as awards for clans is just doubling of awards to top players as anyway players who are in lwer places won't get much from clan award.


If these two chanches would be done together with shields change on 1st of july, I think no more changes would be needed for at least several months.

As for the interest i'm not very impressed with the latest change. Spliting non-deffensive resources does not bring anything good. I don't change my mind about 0 interest on deffensive resources i always suggested. But non-deffensive resources could have a pretty noticable interest with inverse change made this month - the more you have in one planet, the bigger the interest. People won't need 50 Hws as today and there will always be a temptation to store all your non-defensive resources for at least few hours... For at least few days.. Oh, what the heck, for few weeks! Deffensive resources would be free for attacks and the thrill of real risk would come.

Equalibruim will not take place when the pot is always stirred.

Why can't we go a few rounds with no changes and see what happens?

Equalibruim is not a flat surface of the poriddge. Equalibruim is a tasty poriddge. Do we want a flat surface which means no stiring or do we want a tasty poriddge which is not achieved yet and requires some stiring? I want tasty poriddge.

We don't need to pretend that the game is perfect now. It used to be more interesting. It still can become more interesting than it used to be.

I think if we increase the rewards for places in the rounds and keep the defence formula that is now it will be better than changing formula. try playing with different variables

i think that a good solution would be variable award amounts. like one round it is 2k credits for winner and the next month is 3.5k or something and its not posted till the first day of the round. so people would be wondering to go for the round cuz they think credit reward is good enough, or to hold cuz next round will be better. Also this would enable control over how many attacks occur (assumed) a high credit reward would mean greater attacking, while a low credit reward would give players time to catch their breath so to speak and to replenish the HW supply.

just an idea i have
