Two questions:

Is it the same with intergalactic travel? Will I cross 3000 units to get from 0:0:0 to 1000:1000:1000, or will I cross 1732?

I can't work out what to do in mission 1 .help!!!

Copied from the Handbook above. How much of the missions state the things below?

Mission 1:

There are two ways to get more planets in SkyLords. Capturing planets from other players, and colonizing free planets. In this mission, you will colonize a new planet, doubling the size of your empire.
� Click on the Ships button at the top of the screen.
� Select your transport ship.
� Practice moving your ship using the arrows on the right side of the screen, then move it next to the green planet.
� Click on the Colonize Nearby Planet button on the left of the screen.
Please be cautious of the Up and Down links inside the arrows until you are comfortable with the coordinate system (your position is in the upper right). You can find the position of your planets on the planets page if you get lost

I see your problem now. There is currently a bug that gives you problem seeing any ship page where there is only one ship to be seen. The work around of course is to build another one. To obtain the resources to do so,
Click the Home tab.
Then vote for at least the link worth 10 credits.
Now, Click on the Planets tab. Then click the Use Market tab on the left.
Then click Iron.
If you get a "INVALID PLANET

Please select a planet to operate the market from."
click the ok button on the left side above BUY RESOURCES
Then enter a 1 in one of the boxes(the lowest price is a prudent decision) the lowest price is found at the top
then click buy.
Now click on the Ships tab
Then click the word 'transport' on the left.
Then on the left towards the bottom, change -select planet- to your only planet.
If the option directly below this is not already on 'transport' change this as well.
Next, click build, give it some uranium, and then construct your ship and you should be able to complete the mission as normal.

On the next mission, you will have to finish voting on the main page to obtain more gold. To pass the next mission though, you must have exactly 20,000 of the three resources, so transfer extras to the other planet using your transport.

EDIT: This should be fixed now.
