Iiridayn is going to put a link up on the server and show more details on voting by numbers of votes cast for each option, but he is busy right now trying to work with another member of the SL community to figure out why we have had so many crashes recently. Something is wrong, but we are not sure what. However, he has promised to put up the html link somewhere on this post later to show you the more detailed results.

Here is the quick summary of results:

Most people want interest to stay the same as it is now (or to be higher than it is now), and want to keep shields the same. So, on interest on resources on planets, the outcome for the April round will be no changes (edited later: except for troops, which will have interest reduced by half, since there has been some modest level of support in both survey and in forums for SOME reduction in interest levels for troops only)

On points for resources, the voting was mixed. The highest vote number was for no change, with 23 votes of 53 total survey participants in favor of no change, and mixed results across the other options. Second place winner with 16 votes was to get rid of points.

Solid support for more flexible fighters, and I will have Iiridayn start working on coding for that change soon, after he figures out what is wrong with "sockets" that is causing the system to overload right now. Anyway, that change will not be ready for April round, but we will try have to have it ready to be introduced on May 1st.

Very strong suppport for level 4 buildings. Only 18% of people responding to the survery did not like this change.

Scrap Yard and Ship Repair Facility got the most votes for the buildings proposed, with almost all the buildings getting a reasonable number of votes so that they appear to have at least majority of players in favor of these ideas.

Less than 6% of the SL community (3 players) want to see credits be separated from market currency. So, that is a dead issue now that has been advocated vocally by a few people, but which has very little general interest or support.

There was a split almost 50/50 on whether there should be some limit on number of credits that can be purchased per round. The most votes were cast for no change. However, there was enough interest in limits that I will be formally and officially putting in place a limit of $50.00 maximum credits that can be purchased in any round for all players starting with the April round. This limit on credit purchases will apply to all players, including me.

Warp behavior results were interesting. Most people want to see it move more often and be less risky, but they also want to have it find something other than their own planets. Many players voted to have it go to Neggy's planet all the time.

I bet half people who voted are inactive most of the time as well so intrest suits them....

And points per resources?
Riteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I dont see why people would even want to support that

I think most of these votes were for selfish motives and did not have the best intrests of the game at heart....

i agree with hope on the interest results. interest is just lame, and was just implemented to get HWs back into the game. Now that HWs are back interest should go. thats just imo tho.

I think the points for resources should be reconsidered: If only 30% are in favour thats not great. This should be persued futher. Remember this isnt First Past the Post so a majority of 30% does not stand up

we never checked does these surveys tell truth. Let's do an experiment - make a topic where everyone should tell how he voted for interest and points for resources. Then we can compare results here and in survey and see if we can trust survey results

The voting process in this country has always been anonymous and believe me the impact voting has here in the States much outweighs the influence it has on this game. I am not against the "anonymity" part of it because without it people would be a hesitant to vote. I personally voted for everything Professor listed above.

Im against Intrest as it is destroying the game. LTC and TS are at a detente, what is the point? Incredibly uneconomical in taking a hw now and if either side does then the other just waits a while, gets the intrest and does a bigger attack SL has been more boring these last 2 months then ever before.

Lets not hear any stupid arguments about hws dissapearing.., plenty of alternatives than leaving this stupid intrest.
