I finally gave in, took some time out of my work day (thought it would be a bit faster... ah well), and implemented sending via both SendGrid and SparkPost. SparkPost is currently the active one (better free sending limits, delivery seemed a little faster when I tested them).

So - emails should be working. I've given up on running my own email sending server (really hard to get someone to give you a static IP, much less a reverse PTR on it), so it should run fine as (if) I migrate servers again as well. Let me know if you run into any trouble and I'll see what I can do about fixing it for your email service; tested working in gmail, but I know Hotmail is really hard to get legitimate email to, so that'll be the acid test .

Should work:

* Your first login since the round change won't make you lose planets, even if after the 5th. If you've logged in before the 5th and not bought upgrades, you will still lose planets as usual.
* Sends a PM to you with the names, ids, and defense strength of the disowned planets (to provide transparency that I did pick your weakest planets)
* Fixed algorithm to factor shield and not just T+E in picking the weakest planets

This is probably the most common support request that I get. I was cleaning up code in the login file, which reminded me of the round change, and so I wrote more (hopefully working) code. I'll test it later this round, unless some poor soul triggers it first .

Probably something about ships or the new player dimension. I avoid doing any testing w/my personal account unless it's just informational, to avoid using my own resources. Sometimes though I need a second account - ie, shooting at others ships, so I tend to use the iiritest + System Administrator pair. I don't particularly care about what happens to the iiritest account - I try to keep any unusual resource caches exclusive to System Administrator (don't touch ) .
