I had already sent you a quick PM, Zero, when shortly after this, I noticed this thread. I can quickly re-articulate my questions right now, for others to chime in, if they wish: What is are the key differences between seasoned and unseasoned players? Do I, really, have much to worry about, upon leaving the 'newbie arena'?

I had replied before seeing this. I am interested to see what others have to say!

when I first joined this game I lasted ten minutes out of immunity... now a days there are not any boogie men who specialize in hunting new players anymore. Space is far less crowded than it used to be

Honestly I'd say people who play out of nostalgia and people who play out of initial curiousity. As relic said, the vets who are still playing have all kind of laid back and focus on the macro. Building up for a few months to take down big homeworlds. New players joining don't have much to worry about in terms of competition or annihilation. Especially with over 30k planets out there, this is becoming No Mans Sky. You new players have all the information available to you, and all the curiosity and breathing room to take in this game at it's full enjoyment. And in turn you guys are building up your empire's to hopefully contend with us later on. Which will provide more enjoyment for us outside of the monthly/bi-monthly inactive homeworld captures. I think you guys are the new life that Skylords needs. I only hope that you guys are enjoying it, and will continue to enjoy it as much as all of us vets remember from over a decade ago.
