Well I live in pretty small rural comunity and by no means am I into pot, but in my town there is alot of Mexican influence, where drugs from Mexico and human trafficing are a pretty big problem.

I don't know what the cops spend more time on policing the illegal imagints or the drugs. The way i see it is that you can't really stop either of the problems but we can cut down on the cash flowing back to Mexico to fund all the violence down there and tax the pot being grown here. We all know the government can use every dollar they can get to pay off the deficite.

I completely agree with that GS. People are going to keep smoking weed you're never going to stop it. So rather than spending millions on incarcerating people or even just sending them to court and all the stuff that go along with it, tax it, make them pay more, and put the money towards better things.

It is clear to me that very few of those posting here know history!
Democrats have started most of the wars.
Many of us over 50 still have a life, this pushing to legalize pot is not/ was not something those under 40 started. Nor did my generation!
This goes back to Woodrow Wilsons time and was the result of the actions of the democratic party (they passed it over his veto, he was a member of the Progressive Party). True Harding enforced the law, that is the Presidents job as defined by the Constitution.
The problem with Obama is that he does not perform his job as president as defined by the Constitution. He job is to be the enforcement branch and not be the legislative branch of the government. But he does not perform that function and at times has made himself the judge of the law. To decide what laws are just is not with in the scope of his job as a president. That power resides in the courts.
This is why I did not vote for him and to state it clearly-
He has not performed his job according to the scope of that job as defined by the Constitution of the United States.
I just don't know which is worse-
Obama for being either and idot enough to believe he is doing the job right or those who think that he is doing a good job.
Does he have such an over inflated ego, or just a flat out fraud that is happy fooling others?

Every President in history has gone a little farther than the previous President to gain power for the Executive Branch. I long standing Presidental Tradition really going back to FDR. Do I believe that Obama has done a good job? No.

But the legalization of Pot here in Colorado was put forth through our legelative branch of our State House and it came down to vote by the people. Which regardless of the out come I think is the proper way to do such amendments.

But I think atleast here the legalzation could be a step in the right direction to making the most out of a bad situstion.
