Finally i have an ability to be active enough this round and maybe in part of the next one, so alien planets are a nice feature. Later i'll probably start discussion that they are too great targets

It's early morning here and i came 40min after invasion so missed the target. Though i see a tendention to grab at least 1M non-deffensive resources if i fail to capture

Like others have said, my assualts arealso not in range but coming from the center of the universe, i got some kind of advantage but who knows.. i havent had a change to attack any alien planet.. but who knows.. maybe after i type this and press send... i may read the news and find something.. and maybe just maybe...

The invasion broadcast should be put into a random players personal news instead of the global news. Or perhaps whoever the closest player to the invaded planet is. I think that would make more sense.

i tink they should attack a sp planet but they would put no non-def resources on it, and coords woudn't show up in global news, only the report of a attack

A few thoughts on Alien Invasions

1) This is creating over 80k points a day that were otherwise unavailable - scores will begin to be inflated

2) The resources are very valuable at these targets - too valuable in my opinion - 3M of non-defensive resources has a market value of around 300 credits.

There are risks involved but the rewards are too high - I would suggest considering the following adjustments

1) Cut non-defensive resources to 1/2 the current level
2) Allow the aliens to build a turret (over 1M defense) so that it requires a flighter and appears again in the news prior to capture
3) If not #2 - consider defenses over 1.5M so that it takes more than 1 assault to capture

It does bring a new exciting element into the game - I just feel the rewards are set a little too high and that with some modifications it could be even more fun. You need to be fast and timely to get one as this was my 3rd try

Additionally - while it is a challenge to beat RBA and others to the planet (and to get the resources off in the nick of time) I doubt many less experienced players stand much of a chance of reaping the benefits. One other idea would be for certain of the alien planets to only be accesable to certain star level players (i.e. limit some of the planets so only 4 or 3 star players can caputure - so that those who need the resources the most could benefit)
