I think a lot of U have lost sight that Professor is really that.... A PROFESSOR!!!! Meaning that he has more things to worry about in this world then cheating at a damned game, he's not 12 he is somewhere in his 40's ( I believe) and on top of that he has very strong religious beliefs and convictions. He bought this game because he got tired of seeing it fall apart and because he likes the community (as do I) While I sometimes disagree with SOME of the changes he has made, the thought has never crossed my mind he is cheating. I think if some of U put half as much energy into the game as U did into slamming the Professor U would be as strong if not stronger than he is.

swimmer I have been playing this game as long if not longer than you, I am not about to just pick up and leave. I am simply saying that Prof is not looking to good here as a player. I have stated my reasons. Bashar you say that Prof has no time to cheat, I never said he was. I asid that we dont know how many credits he was buying. rememberr he said that the 50$ limit was not hurting anyone because noone bought that much well why would he then say that it hurt him? Exactly, before you start jumping all over people shut up and look at the facts.

I was buying all by myself, for a while. That is true. And, in some rounds, I did buy more than $50.00 of credits prior to this limit being put in place. Mostly, I bought credits when prices in the market seemed absurdly low, but I can't do that anymore, and prices do seem absurdly low to me, but such is life. I have to get over it, and I need credits to buy resources I am short on at the moment, so I have to sell troops or energy cheaply sometimes to get iron or silicon.

I would rather spend more than $50.00 per round on credits, but I can't now. Of course, I could simply create unlimited resources by cheating if I really wanted to do so, but then again, my son, Iiridayn, might tell on me if I did. He has extremely strong ethical and religious values, which I might have some credit in teaching him (although it was probably more due to my wife than me anyway), and I would not want to disappoint my own son by cheating. Also, it would take most of the fun out of the game.

Since I was the ONLY one buying credits at first, and paying for the costs of the server fees and server conversion costs, it was reasonable that I received a lot of resources using the pricing and conditions for purchase of credits that Zygi had put in place since the early period of the game. Zygi had not really been able to get the credits buying thing to work within the SL culture, and I think part of the reason is he was too sensitive to socialistic views of not giving any source of advantage to players with cash, and partially due to a decision on his part to effectively subsidize the cost of credits purchase via SMS for Lith players (he received very little income at all from sales of credits via SMS due to the low prices charged and high fees paid to the SMS services provider for this credit buying feature).

At any rate, yes, I did purchase more than $50.00 in credits in some rounds, and especially in early rounds, as the cost of getting the server converted to a new server was not cheap (fees paid to Zygi for services provided during the process were more than $1000.00 USD over three months, which was on top of the cost of purchasing all rights to the game, and that income had to come from somewhere, as available university resources were limited, and I was only willing to donate to the cost of keeping the game alive if there was some benefit from doing so).

My personal feeling is this. I think the Admin should be someone who plays the game so he or she has a feeling for it. I don't think we should all be sitting around questioning said admin (from the way it looks to me, the game wouldn't be around without him). so I think we should all stop quarrling like a pack of little children and see that THIS IS JUST A GAME. ENJOY IT.

yeah you say this until you lose your HW to the admin then what do you say? If he is launching war then he is not just gretting feeling for the game. Lret it be known I am not complaining that he took my HW unfairly or I should get my hW back or any of that ludicrousness, I am merely saying that if he is going to be a player than be a player, not a player with advantages and if he is going to be an admin then be an admin, not both unless you make some checks for yourself.
