A vaild point but my remark was not only ment to honor old players but serve as an exemple (perphaps not a good one) that we can not remove the challenge from the game. This is a stratigy game and every change effects it no matter how discretly and it comes down to one thing regardless of if the credits used on the market were bought (as funds are good for the game) or "earned" by selling resources and that is wheither or not the SL comunity wishes to allow player to have access to unlimited amounts or reaourses or if we want to make the game more challenging by only allowing player produce resourses to circulate within the game.

Very nice comparison :) And I can answer what I prefer: I prefer that if it said "no changes", there should be no changes, but as I see changes are still done (like no news of SP detection, or "Prof's change of the attack/cloud behavior";). So if professor changed "attack/cloud behavior" just to be able to make his attack, I think also can be done change which would make the game more fair...

Drenlock..... any points you make regarding the old SL are void. and are just statements of useless blabber. simply because you KNOW NOTHING of the old SL.....
and you Suck Incredably at the New One...... Hence.......

* Any of us who stayed from the old sl. didnt stay for support. we stayed because of the love we had for the game..... and the immense friendship and comraderie we had found..... some of us quit but just happened to sign back on to check on things and realized there was an attmpt to resurect a dieing game..... Some of us just didnt know what to do with ourselves so we just stuck around...... I mean.... all of a sudden. we all realized that if sl died.. 6-14 hrs of our schedule EVERDAY would suddenly be blank..... and therre was nothing we couldve thought of to replace that..... The SL community had become our Life and the most exciting part of it..... support forumn used to be filled with the most rash of arguments about Politics. between Neg and ED lol........ SD. uysed to be a bashing place of flaming more than anything else.. cuz in thuth. everyone clan was hunting evryclan........ and on a larger scale. every man vs. ltc........

Proff..... did his best to try and save the game and in his effors the game changed and evolved into what we have today..... a game that is waay more structured I guess you could say. but is juts that. a game..... 1. hr of play during the week and 3 hrs on weekends in sufficient to maintaining average player status in this game........ and I can honestly say I love sl anymore..... cuz I used to...... This Game used to be like Crack. yes I mean crack cocaine.. peopl elike chaoss can definately tell you...... youd sepnd 30 hrs on here your eyes glued to the computer and not realize..thinkin gyouve only been on for 5 hrs or so.......


So Drenlock I really dont appreciate people like you giving your 2 cents in at a Jewish bank-owner meeting........

[Bug]s will always be fixed as soon as found. Bad game design, which violates standard user interface design guidelines, is not something which should be ignored simply because it was not known or discovered. Yes, bugs and design flaws will be fixed.

If you don't like it, tough. Even if bugs affect strategy, they will be fixed when found, as soon as we can fix them.

As for market changes, the market had infinite supply at max price on the first day it was introduced, and the prices have not changed for maximum prices of any resources since the first day the market was opened for trading in the game. Some players bought some resources at maximum prices, and some sold at minimum prices.

attacking ships also was the same from the first day of the game, some players also used it the same as with market, and, in difference form market, it made no problem for other game features. While infinitive supply of some resources below producing costs damages production - means production of several resources is absolutely useless - only noobs make mistakes by setting production to gold, silicon or uranium... These max caps were introduced when these resources had lower market price, because of low use, but after you done some changes they became harmful.

So bad game design should be fixed ASAP. And I hope you'll agree that unlimited supplies of some res below production costs is very bad design. Can you imagine what would happen with any industry in the world if we just got this production by lower price than production costs? :) So keeping unlimited res in such prices on market, you also can take away possibility to produce silicon, gold and uranium just to safe noobs form loosing their time by producing these res...

The Caps were invented because of the problem with recs not being on plannet.. now that they are.... caps are a "flaw"....... or bad game design as you call if proffessor..... as whatever price you put up doesnt affect anything cept your def for putting ther troops up for sale.......

Also.... If it wernt for infinite silicon supplies..... I project that as many as 60% of the HW with building and such would not eveb have buildings with the current level of def... because the ammount of production time illiminated is just insane........
*and If they did have buildings.......their def would be waaay lower......... because of production time needed.......

It would take some skill and balance to advance your buildings and def gradually than the powerhouse upstart I was able to achieve in the last mont or so since Ive been active again..... and Im now stronger than Ive ever been at any single point in time...... though that may be because I havnt exactly attacked anyone but you get the idea.......

Unlimited prod of any recs works out to unlimited supply of any ohter recs because conversion comes into play and all I have to do is trade...... of sell at a lower prices than market. which at first is a loss to me.... but then after Ive attained the power of beaing able to maintain 50 plannets and about 20 HWs constantly..... I gain back what Ive lost in a matter of 2-3 months........ if not waay less...... I just said 2-3 months so Id be sure. but If I were to atcually do the math Im sure itd be a lot less...... what with interest, and recs it wouldve taken to get point gain from hoilding such amass of recs......
Professor Im sure you can testify to this as this is exactky what youve done since the in intro of the market.......
