Agreed. We can not and should not implement all ideas. Fortunately, there are some clear trends in preferences emerging already from those that have taken the survey.

Runka I agree should have been two surveys. the ranked response first as the players preferences of what they would like see done to balance out the game and then a chaser vote a couple of days later on the top three choices narrowed down with follow up questions. I would have voted differently if I was sure that some of the options were no longer there.

LOL - Yes, I doubt people will vote against what is in their best interests. However, there is more than one way to achieve balance. The best option for balance is probably Iiridayn's (also suggested independently by Abe as well), but this option of assigning ships to planets is so far leading in negative votes against it. Many people strongly object to the option of ships assigned to planets which was an essential aspect of the game as originally developed by Zygi.

The vote one some things like the turrets is interesting as they havent really been tested in the game so to vote on them is a bit of a poke in the dark.

Yeah, agreed. But, some strong opinions have been expressed by some. In part, this is the reason we have the option of voting don't know or don't care on that issue as well. Some players have strong opinions. Many do not have experience with using them for attack or defense. So far, only a few players have experienced both sides of turret attack and defense.

Thanks Abe and Alpha. Yeah, options are limited. It is necessary to have some limits on options or we would not be able to a survey of reasonable length that could be completed. Also, some options suggested I have decided would be best ignored or not included in the survey (e.g., ship probes, which have been suggested several times in the past and which have consistently been voted down in prior surveys).

Taken. I realize ship storage of resources is probably a bigger concern than the market problem and must be addressed. However, I was disappointed to here that the market situation will not be fixed until late January. I don’t feel the way the market is currently being used is in the spirit that was intended, when it was first created.
