He also checks on me and I check on him. Since teaching him good values is more important than cheating, and since he would catch me if I did, I am able to resist cheating.

my son is 20 years old and has a degree in computer science. I can not get arround him, since he knows more than I do about computers, and grounding a 20 year old is not effective.

As for cheating, I have been paying a lot of cash into the Research Center that now owns the game over the past four months now to purchase troops and energy at the beginning of each month. Most players trade 400k T for 400 credits, so do the math yourself (50 players trading * 400k troops per month * 4 months = ?). The revenue from these transactions is helping cover costs of improving and debugging the game, although we still are running a deficit and the game is still subsidized by the Research Center budget right now due to high costs initially for support in getting the game transferred to a new server and in having Zygi help us learn to do things on our own. I am not paid anything for my time, and my son receives no cash compensation for his time in game support (although, he is getting paid now for doing the market modules, since the guy I hired to do these quit part way through the job and left me without support for finishing this upgrade, which was very annoying to me).

I am sure that someone in LTC or TLT will claim that I am cheating when I hit them hard and take out a HW on my own. The claim will be without merit, but I thought it might be useful now to point out that I have a lot of resources ligitimately purchased as well as the resources of nearly 50 planets for the past three months (and 100 planets for about a month before that) to provide me with a nice war chest to use for attacking. I have used very little resources in attacks so far, so I guess it is now time for me to start making a few targetted attacks on planets of opportunity.

My son and I seldom fight each other in games. He strongly prefers games where he can play with me against AI or against other players. Perhaps this is because he does not like to lose!

However, we do play board games against each other, and he really likes it when he beats me at Monopoly or Risk. Of course, that does not happen often. Mostly, ALL my kids try to gang up on me in games we play as a family. Makes for a more interesting game from my perspective, but I am not too happy about losing when i do lose. Risk is especially bad this way. Michael wins a lot of the time at Risk by getting everyone to gang up on me since he is such a nice and helpful guy, and then, he takes me out when others have weakened me and uses my cards with a turn in to wipe everyone else out, since they are weakened from attacking me. He is a pretty smart kid, but the girls are also learning and they are not quite as trusting of Michael's benevolent intentions now...

LOL. Darn it. Can't curse any more. By the way, it is iiridayn, not ilrydian. Not sure why in the world he picked such a strange name, but most of my kids are rather odd in one way or another. Guess it runs in the genes.
