One thing is clear when it comes to Skylords... It has some very faithful players, myself included.

My proposal is for Iiri to Open Source the code for this site on a free service like BitBucket so that people here within this community can offer their help and services.

Keep it in a private Repo so only you have access to it and then manually invite certain people in to help out with bug fixes, new features, updates to site, new design etc.

The site was purchased so not sure what your thoughts on that will be, but I will be available to help out with bug fixes and new features if this became a reality. I know a few others that will aswell

I know Iiri has toyed with the idea of a full rewrite in the past but doing so would be a massive task to take on and would take many months to complete. That would be a BIG investment in time for little to no return.

Open sourcing to a trusted dev team may be the way forward in starting to get this turned around with lots of small updates. Only invite pro's, no "I started learning last week what can I do to help", but people who can help make a difference with what little time they can spare.

The ability to press CTRL + Return to "Send" my message, I'm too damn used to replying to emails.

There are loads of ways to do it (you already know this, I know), but here http://jsfiddle.net/AaronLayton/j85gT/ a quick and dirty way. My point is, open sourced and this could be a bug fix instead (damn pressed CTRL + Return again)

I've spoken to Iiri many times about Skylords over the past years. He had made it quite clear on several occasions that the game needs a complete re write as Dangel has said. For him alone whilst working and life commitments that's something which just isn't going to happen.

I think that because the game was purchased it would be difficult for Iiri to go opensource. I like the idea and any way the player base could help make that happen would be awesome.
