1) You didn't "hack" at all, you simply used an exploit, and even if you would have had to edit the packet stream to do it, you still weren't hacking, you were just using a premade script someone else wrote lol, that makes you a "script kiddy"

2) Congrats, you apologized, what about the hundreds of thousands of fake credits you put into the SL economy? Most of the resources you bought off the market were put there by people who were selling them for credits (until you bought out the entire silicon market and were buying them out of nothing) and you have now spread hundreds of thousands of exploit gained credits around to tons of players! Do you have ANY idea how much work it's going to take to fix that!!!

Iiri will have to either

1) Look at all the logs and undo everything you did, a painstaking process
OR
2) simply wipe out everyone's credits, in which case people who had resources on the market will lose those resources, and the people who had credits legitimately will lose those!

Either it's an obscene amount of work for Iiri or it will upset a LOT of players! A simple apology isn't exactly enough in this situation...

script kiddys generaly use malicous software to either spread spywear and/or to break passwords. sometime they can find programs that are preautomated to do other tasks such as taking control of another computer (note that any antivirus pretty much stops this)

in short your not a hacker, and your not a script kiddy, you abused a bug and abused it willingly (kind of like the kind of person who buys 1 pop at a fast food restaraunt and goes up to the counter and ask's for a new cup claiming they threw the other one out so their firends can ll get free drinks)

i'm almost positive that bug abuse in dierct violation of the terms of agreement. however i respect you for appolgizing and trying to make amends. you should realize that if you do get banned that you were lucky to be spared any of the possible legal ramifications for such an act.

on a personal note however. i don't care all to much yet. i'll have to see what irii's decision is.

well, he's a wannabe script kiddy, he tried to use a script to perform an exploit, but if there was a serverside check his "hack" wouldn't have worked, and if there was a client side check it would have been a very weak "hack"

Now I need to explain myself cuz this is getting out of hand. I never said I cared about the hacking part, Im not pround of it, do u see me posting it on Facebook or on a blog or even anywhere?! Do you! Look go google and see do I give a crap about something small of a exploit as that. Yes amends won't work but I tried and its all that counts to me, the honor to tell you all how dumb and stupid I was for what I did. H9 whatever your name is was right, if it was serverside then yes it wouldin't have worked, its why this game should have had it serversided to begin with. Its just not enough security and this shows it as well.

2) Main reason we don't have enough security? This is a fairly old game, and it's always been fairly obscure, and so we've never had a problem with people coming and trying to exploit it like that.
