It just found a system...with 4 planets in it. There are two sets of planets, each with 2 planets with the same coords in them. Has this happenned to anyone before?

Yes, it is possible that two systems get created in the same location. There are about 30,000 locations where planets can be created, and occasionally, two systems are created in the same place. When that happens, the suns are both on top of each other, and the planets are in random places arround the dual sun.
