Important note: Bad examples shouldn't be followed :P

Personally it doesn't matter to me whether a player buys credits for upgrades or for Hw caprures or etc. And it doesn't matter for me whether a player bought 500 or 50000 credits. And it doen't matter for me whether that player is high or low in statistics. And of course, i really don't care what is the nationality of those players.

I care, and deeply, that players do not stand in the positions they really deserve

Lol, well said :]. Very well, your point being made, want to start bouncing possible alternatives around? Succinctly, credits were available to buy since before the marketplace was created. They were used for the market as a reasonably easy way to transfer credits between players, and to prevent the neccesity of either creating another form of "money" to use on the market, or preventing the need for a very complex barter system (which not only would have been hard for a many players to understand, but would have been quite painful to code), or designating a single resource as the standard. While it was understood that it had the potential to cause problems down the road, it was decided that it was the most feasable solution of those considered.

That said, I am certainly open to listening to other possibilities. However, they must not break continuity (ie, can't just wipe out credits, or suddenly switch the market over to some other standard (even aside from the coding headache that'd be ;P)), and must be possible for me to code (as it's unreasonable for you to know the general difficulty in advance in many cases, and even were you a programmer, I'd still not expect you to have detailed knowledge of the inner workings of SkyLords (you'd better not, or there's something you need to come clean about ;P), so I'm perfectly willing to advise players on the difficulty of a task (ranging from moderatly difficult to "no I am not rewritting SL in Java and making it 3D! ;P" in difficulty)).

Umm... Condensed: I'm prolly open to reasonable alternatives ;P.

Hope: Puts us back with the seperate money source, as credits are an integer quantity (ie, we don't keep track of the history of our money -- do you? ;)).

Ice Shardz: Hmm. Prolly won't happen, but will consider it. (I'd prolly prefer seperating the credits from market money units myself though, which, as Hope pointed out, would have the same effect ;P).

Mr. Ice Shardz

How many planets have you got?

Secondly, Do you sell anything on the market?

Thridly, Do you see the point of these two questions

Oh and maybe a limit on credits that can be used on the market could be implemented

Ah right, And so your source of income, are the ones who are putting money into the game, There are not many of them, And the ones who are, YOU have a go at them

That's my point, How exactly Do you not know that your ENTIRE source of credits is not Watupdogg.

THINK things through before you speek, It might save me having to ask questions that your to stupid to see the reason of

Um there is a constant cycle of creds that goes around, people buy recs with credits and others get it and then they buy back other recs. My problem is not that he buys credits with money, its the amount he buys. The game was not designed for one player to buy unlimited troops, so think about that nefore posting your assinine comments.

Hm..i was thinking a lot but could offer only one way which could encourage people to support the game without making affect to their abilities in earning points.
Simply donators should get very important and comforfotable features, which do not create an advantage in creating points. Examples:

Unlimited number of posts in forums
Avatars
Country flags
Private messages
Even autoprober
Etc.

The features could be discussed by the community. Along with whether a constant fee should be common or separated for each feature. It is obviuos that some of those mentioned in my list can look pretty drastic, but none of it is necessary, although really important for many players.

This means credits would come into play only from round awards and would go out through buying upgrades. Therefore game awards could be not constant but somehow related to the demand of credits. Or even maybe credits used for upgrades could form a "prize fund" for the round winners and we would have a constant number of credits in the game.

Please don't condem for the details - it's hard to imagine everything at once. And numbers are always elastic. Just post whether the idea is worth consideration :)
