Hydro to convert energy, uranium to allow turrets to swing around and fire....hhhrrmmm this could get interesting. Say Turrents need a resource on the planet to shoot with (some use for silicon perhaps, although I can't see how flying breast implants would help) and uranium to turn and track said fighter...

Aaaah there could be the use of silicon, because it wouldn't be as tough as iron so would burst on impact easier, limiting the risk of dud slugs.

Those slugs would be shot with incredible acceleration to catch a fighter in orbit from surface of planet.
So we could use some sort of ultra strong silicate fibre

Vital has the use of creating troops, you want to launch vital such as food and clothing at fighters? Food fight!!


Chaos: I like it, it definately gives silicon more of a use. Although with Turrets, the silicon will have to be used for fighter defence to destroy all turrets, because fighters will be destroyed. Unless you give fighters no defence, but then it gets complicated.

Uranium is very dense. Hence, firing it does much damage, and goes through much armor. And we have plenty anyway ;P.
